| Glowing Beach |
Anyone
who loves nature and enjoys knowing and experiencing all the beautiful sights
it holds around the universe would be amazed to see this amazing glowing beach.
Think of a night when you are standing on a beach having blue or neon glowing
waves. It is no less than a magical view. In the movie “Life of Pi”, we see
such kind of magical view that takes our breath away. Any nature lover would
die to experience it. Now, a question might arise on our mind that how’s this
even possible. Well, this is a natural occurrence.
There
are many beaches around the world having the glowing waves. Vaadhoo Island in
Maldives is one of them.

This
phenomenon is occurred due to bio-luminescent organisms. Different kinds of microorganisms
in short Protists or Microbes who are eukaryotic creatures living in oceans
cause this mystic scenery. These microbes glow when they are disturbed. So what is considered magical to us is not at
all pleasing to them. This organism is
caused with the help of a pigments and an enzyme- Luciferin and Luciferase. Luciferin’s
job is to react with oxygen while Luciferase helps to the rapidity of the
reaction.
Other
faunas such as fireflies, jellyfish use the same procedure for their production
of light.
